Boomer’s Kitchen & Catering is popping up where the city gathers this June and July. You’ve got Juneteenth celebrations, fireworks, summer crowds, and that familiar feeling that everybody is looking for something good to eat. That is where Boomer comes in. This summer, Boomer’s Food Truck will be at several major community events and festival-style gatherings across Philadelphia, including Juneteenth Jubilee at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Kidchella at Smith Memorial Playground, Red, White, & Rosé Picnic on Independence Mall, and Wawa Welcome America festivities on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
For Boomer’s Kitchen and Catering, serving at Roots Picnic was more than another food truck event. It was a chance to bring Philly flavor to one of the city’s most recognizable cultural weekends.
For Boomer’s Kitchen & Catering, this moment connects to a lot of what we stand for: hard work, community, growth, visibility, and the belief that a small business from Philadelphia can step onto a bigger stage without losing the heart that built it. So when Verizon, FIFA, and small business opportunity come together, we pay attention. Because this is bigger than one event.
There is something special about serving food in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. For Boomer’s Kitchen and Catering, being part of Mt. Airy Day was more than pulling up with the food truck and serving meals. It was about showing up for community, sharing flavor with familiar faces and new customers, and being part of a tradition that brings people together.
For Boomer’s Kitchen and Catering, being part of Manayunk StrEATz Fest was more than another food truck event. It was a chance to serve Philly flavor in one of the city’s most active festival settings.right alongside other food vendors, small businesses, artists, shops, and community members.
